Here at Dick Russell’s we take pride in serving great food and providing top notch service since 1953. We started from our original location in Prichard, AL and in 1982 we moved to our current location in Tillman’s Corner where we’ve been for over 40 years now. The standards and traditions we set when we started are the same ones we live by today. Everything made from scratch and homemade with the same recipes since day one. We have no tricks to our trade, just high quality, home cooked style food with fast, friendly service 7 days a week, from our Lagniappe Award winning breakfast to the Alabama BBQ Hall of Fame awarded lunch and dinner.
Traditional Atmosphere
Dick Russell’s is a down home family restaurant with a focus on comfort and service. Our goal is to ensure that each guest receives friendly and timely service and has an exceptional dining experience. What makes that experience possible is our wonderful employees; most of whom have been with us for anywhere from 10 to 35 years. Whatever your event or celebration, we are here to make your special day a truly memorable one. Many of our more unique decorations have been with us since the beginning in 1953.
Ingredients & Flavours
At Dick Russell’s, we are more than just BBQ. There’s something for everybody, from our world class breakfast, to our fresh seafood, or our home cooked lunch specials and dinner plates. We know that what you put in and on your food makes every bit the difference. Whether it is our marinade that gives our burgers so much flavor, our thick cut crispy bacon, or our made from scratch biscuits and BBQ sauce. We make our lunch specials from scratch in house — like our Chicken & Dumplings or Chopped Carrots — and we even have the old, real deal, BBQ pit that we cook all of our BBQ on! All our seafood is fresh from the Gulf or a local pond in the case of our catfish, and we select only the best ribeye cuts of meat for our steaks. Everything we use is hand picked and hand made to ensure that even our basic dishes are out of this world. Every table also comes with Dick Russell’s favorites Tabasco and Bruce’s Green Hot Pepper Sauce, for our customers that like a little extra punch.
